Nintendo Switch Lite: Switch done right?

The new Nintendo Switch Lite: Lite done right?

The new lite version of Nintendo's popular switch consoles hit the shelves last September and since then it pretty much had its own share of sells and gave its much beefier brother solid run for the money.
The new nintendo switch lite.
So, today I am gonna be helping you guys decide if this new switch is not needed and more of a niche gimmick or this thing is worth the dent in your pocket. As its 16,099 INR on Amazon.in and almost 200 US bucks in Amazon.com.

<>What is a Switch Lite?
A switch lite is a much less watered down version of the regular nintendo switch which still carries a decent amount of punch.
Its much more of a portable console than the ore traditional Nintendo switch. It completely ditches the joy-cons and is almost an inch shorter in size. What you get is a much more compact and lighter version of the switch while completely removing its switching ability. Yes, its only handheld and has no docked mode, HDMI connection or joycons. Which can be a dealbreaker for you but is a much more new approach to the switch to make the sacrifices and make it completely for on the go gaming like its predecessors in NdS, 3dS.

<>What are the pros and the cons of the nintendo switch lite?
Here are the pros and cons of the new nintendo switch lite for me.
<>Pros:

  • Brings back the classic D-pad.
  • Has a much better battery life.
  • Much more comfortable design for prolonged periods of usage.
  • Sharp and vibrant display.
  • Sturdier than the original switch.
  • And most importantly is more affordable.
<>Cons:

  • Completely ditches the docked mode so no big screen. :(
  • No motion controls either.
  • Moreover created for solo plays and not local multiplayers due to lack of Joycons.
<>So, what are the selling points of the new switch lite?
One of the biggest selling point of the switch is its better battery along with much better performance on the go. And of course its lower price tag chips in.
Ultimately the decision depends on the user, if they need or want that docked mode or the full fledged switch features they should go for the usual version but if they are sacrificing some utilities then it makes much more sense to go for the lite edition. Since it uses the same OS and can play all your favourite games at the same level of performance it should be a no brainer to get the lite version for on the go gaming.
Currently it comes in a small variety of colours: gray, yellow or turquoise and all of them look cool. But if you take my bit of salt and you are a pokemon fan like me wait for November and get the new Pokemon Sword and Shield exclusive switch lite which looks stunning.
